Milestones and Zzzz in a Lalala land Overload

My lamb chop was a good sleeper ever since she was a baby and she had tons of funny sleeping positions and antics. But this past months after she turned one year old she refused to take a nap not unless she is very tired. She doesn't take a nap that much lately but in those times that she naps, she sleeps for more than two hours. Anyhow, I was deleting photos in my Picasa album when I saw few photos of her sleeping position when she was still a baby. I also uploaded the latest sleeping adventures she had this past year. Mommy Moments - Dear Dada

This is Jake usually asks every morning when he wakes up.
Jake: Where's Dada, Mama?
Me: Dada's working.
Jake: Dada is working? Ahhh okay

This is Justine usually say.
Dada, Mama, Jek, Dahtin hehehe. She also like to say this Bah bah not a sheep kindda bah but it's Back if she sees that Dada is going out to smoke or run some errands.

Since they both can't speak out yet the words they want to say to their Dada, I'm guessing they want to say this.

Book Review on Regret Free Parenting by Catherine Hickem

I'm a new mom and sometimes I can't help myself to think if I am doing the right thing in disciplining my two toddlers as part of parenting. Just like other first time parents, I have insatiable desires for knowledge and information about Parenting. I have read few books about parenting and what to expect which my SIL gave to me when I was still pregnant with my first born. But no matter how many books I have read, still don't have a clue about Parenting. Parenting is not easy, thus it is a very hard and challenging responsibility. I sure will learn lots of things about parenting in this book. Mommy Moments - Valentine's Day 2011

This year's Valentines day was the perfect V-day so far. I got a flower from my babger and we also had dinner date with friends as pre-valentines celebration.

This is what we had during our Pre-valentines date with close friends. They just got engaged and they want to celebrate their engagement with us. Both the dragons not in their cute and friendly behaviour so we decided to take home the LO.

Valentines Surprise

Happy Valentines everyone?

I read sweet nothings and saw photos of flowers, chocolates and Valentines cards from husbands posted by random friends at Facebook today. That's really sweet. I on the other hand did not expect something from Babger. He came home from work today with flowers in his hand. I guess there's always a first time right? Beautiful surprise babger, thanks mwah! We also had dinner date with hubby's friends last night at Big Jim's. They just got engaged, best wishes to both of you guys.

Since the husband was very nice this year's Valentines day, the lazy wife decided to to be nice too. I made good dinner for him like Oven Baked Chicken and Mashed Potatoes, his favorites kind of food. Justine loves chicken too that he took the bones off babger's plate and ate it. Finger lickin good...lol Then, after dinner we played with the puzzle. Okay i still have to wash the dishes btw, haays life of a pinaymaid/yaya/tig/atbp lol

Dearest Jake and Justine
You know how much Dada and Mama loves you. You two are the reason why we are happy and together. Having you two in our lives are the greatest thing every happen to us. We are very grateful and thankful to God for giving you two to us and become part of our life as our dearest son and daughter. You make our life wonderful and worthwhile. Sorry if sometimes we yelled at you and spank you. We are sorry if we put you on a time out most of the time. We just want you to learn and putting you on time out is one way to teach you that in every bad actions have consequences. We promise and do everything we can just to give you Jake and Justine the best life and beautiful future you deserve. Words are not enough to tell you how much I love you two and not even enough to describe how much joy you brought to me. I LOVE YOU Jake and JUSTINE very much...forever...to death...to infinity and beyond!

Weekend Bonding

We spent a good and fun Saturday at the Cottrill's family last Saturday. No occasion just bonding out and eat. Bading and Raquel prepared some food and we just went there to eat hehehe. Well, I did not bring any food though because I know they have lots of yummy foods and besides i can't think of any thing to cook. Anyhow, the dragons have so much fun playing with the burritos. Thanks bading, John, Rye and EJ and Raquel and fam for the fun Saturday.

Baby Shoes

My mother-in-law just bought my kids a pair of shoes last year and they have used it twice already. I also bought another pair sneakers for my little girl for summer. Justine has a fat feet typical of a baby feet. When she was four months old I bought two pairs of baby shoes. One of them did not fit because of her fat feet. Good thing the other was just perfectly fitted on her baby fat feet. Baby grows really fast so when you plan of buying a baby shoes put a little bit of allowance in it so it will at least be useful for a long period of time. You can check out startriteshoes.com for they have wide selection of children shoes that absolutely fit on your little one. This winter baby needs to have shoes on to keep their feet warm especially if they are out for Pediatrician appointment. Some of the my kids baby shoes and booties I gave it to my friends and I just sent couple of their winter shoes to my friend who just gave birth. That would help her get by with shoes for a while.

Congratulations on your New Bundle of Joy

Momgen of Wonderful Things In Life just gave birth to a healthy baby boy. What a strong woman to handle things by herself. She went into labor by herself because her husband was away at this moment. Glad, she has good friends and neighbors who drove her to the hospital. You are one brave woman Momgen. Get better and hope you will find all the help you can get from your neighbors and friends.

Clean is Healthy

Having two toddlers in the house is not easy. I need to make sure that everything is child proof and that everything is clean, including the furniture and carpet.

Cleaning the furniture isn’t really hard. Wiping with a damp cloth or using cleaners will oftentimes do the trick. For leather though it’s a different matter. Sometimes it would be best to just hire the best cleaners, The Steam Team, to ensure my kids health and safety.

Some of the services that I’m interested in are their leather furniture cleaning austin, organic carpet cleaning austin and their rug steam cleaners austin. It will be worth the cost since while my leather chairs will be thoroughly cleaned they will also be undamaged from all my scrubbing. For my carpets, using organic carpet cleaning solutions are perfect. Since my kids are playing on the carpet all the time, I know the chemicals are not harmful to them. Also, since our rugs accumulate all the dirt indoor and outdoor, steaming them is a great way to disinfect them.
