Preserve your Baby's Cord Blood for the Future Use

When my friends back home got pregnant, I never heard of them getting some information about banking their baby's cord blood. In fact some people there who got sick and had money traveled to the United States for treatment because we know they have advanced technology here compared to third world countries. I am 35 weeks pregnant right now, and from the very beginning of my pregnancy I received quiet a few of pamphlets from the hospital about things that I needed to learn and be aware of during pregnancy, especially the importance of cord blood banking and its benefits. All of this I learned right here in the US.
Why Bank Cord Blood Stem Cells you ask? What has been discovered by scientists is that cord blood is a rich source of stem cells and that umbilical cord blood has become a viable substitute to bone marrow in thousands of successful transplants. Preserving your baby's cord blood is very important, and we do not know what will happen in the future. Cells taken from your newborn are a perfect match for your baby for his or her lifetime. Also, any siblings of your child have a one in four chance of being a perfect match, so banking the cord blood can also benefit the rest of the family as well. Also, using cord blood transplants, the umbilical cord blood can be used to fight more than 75 diseases. Go to Cyro-Cell selection criteria for more information on how you can save your baby's life.

I have also saved my child's cord blood with Cryobanks International India. I am really happy with this decision.

I would like to request all expecting moms to preserve their baby's cord blood.

In my very strong opinion, banking core blood should not be controversial what-so-ever. In fact, due to the benefits the core blood may one day offer if ever necessary, banking it should beome a requirement or automatic. The only thing that should be controversial is the COST involved. It's to bad that it's so expensive because everyone should do it and so many can't afford it. I say this because I understand the huge medical benefits that can come from core blood.
