I finally cooked all my remaining Mung bean from last year. I have to go to Korean store anytime soon to buy more mung bean as I got addicted eating it since I added spinach on it. Thanks to lulu, she told me I could add spinach if I don't have squash. This is one of the common dish in the Philippines. Not just taste yummo, it is also affordable.
Mung bean also known as green bean, mung, mongo, moong, moog dal (in Bengali), mash bean, munggo or monggo, green gram, golden gram, and green soy, is the seed of Vigna radiata which is native to Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan. The English word "mung" derives from the Hindi moong.
Mung beans are mainly cultivated in China, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Burma, Bangladesh and India, but also in hot and dry regions of South Europe and Southern USA. Mung beans are tropical (or sub-tropical) crops, and require warm temperatures (optimally round 30-35°C). Loamy soil is best for pusap cultivation.
