Quarantine is a 2008 American horror film directed by John Erick Dowdle and starring Jennifer Carpenter, Steve Harris and Columbus Short. The film is a remake of the Spanish horror film REC and is almost an entire shot-for-shot remake with a few exceptions such as added scenes and dialogue. The story revolves around a television reporter and her cameraman trapped inside a building quarantined by the CDC after the outbreak of a mysterious virus which turns humans into bloodthirsty killers. Phones, Internet, televisions and cell phone access have been cut-off, and officials are not relaying information to those locked inside. When the quarantine is finally lifted, the only evidence of what took place is the news crew's videotape.
Quarantine is voluntary or compulsory isolation, typically to contain the spread of something considered dangerous, often but not always disease.

No, I have not seen this movie yet. Your definition of quarantine is very adequate and self explanatory. Thanks for the post. God bless you all always.
