Welcoming A New Sibling is this week Mommy Moments theme hosted by Chris. Jake was only 17 months old when Justine was born. He didn't understand yet and he still needed both of our attention. He wasn't happy when we left him with hubby's friend at home and gone all day during delivery. Right after I gave birth, hubby went home to get Jake. As soon as Jake saw me with a baby in my arm at the hospital he cried and throw a fit. He was mad at me and did not even want to come closer to me nor to the baby (Justine). It wasn't a pleasant welcome when Jake saw Justine at the hospital for the first time. He even took a swipe at Justine the first time he saw her. He was crying at first and then few hours from then he started to get interested with the stuff inside the hospital than to his baby sister. I stayed at the hospital by myself with Justine while hubby had to come home everyday because of Jake. The next day, Jake still not friendly, and not interested with Justine until he slowly calmed down. He usually hits or kicks Justine if hubby and I panic or reprimand him and of course the sibling rivalry and jealousy was always there up until now.
Well, despite of all the hitting and mean treatment Justine always adored her big brother and giggled every time Jake come up to her and play or should I say roll her over, sat on her, lay on her, hug her so tight and stuff like that. She always has lovely smile and laughs for her brother.
Jake is a sweet big bro, he loves kissing Justine, give her a hugs, shares his toy and sometimes feeding her pritzels, cookies, and stick.
